Many school districts around the country have been struggling with their standardized testing. Adding new requirements on to that has predictably caused some issues.
The hope is that this will ease the growing pains.
The Every Student Succeeds Act will require students to be tested in reading and math, but it is up to the states to choose their test. The test data will also need to be aggregated into a number of different sub-groups like ethnicity and income level.
