Parents in Indiana who have taken advantage of the voucher program have spoken. They are “very satisfied” with their child’s school.
EdChoice (Which was formally known as the Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice), surveyed 2000 private school parents, 1,185 of which participated in the voucher program. The results of the survey revealed that an overwhelming majority of parents were satisfied with their school choice.
The survey also revealed that one of the primary reasons for not attending their regular public school was due to lack of religious environment.
Indiana is still locked in a bitter debate about the effectiveness and cost of the school voucher program.
