Indianapolis Public Schools is preparing for big changes and they are asking for input from stakeholders. IPS has already begun having meetings and town-halls around new plans for the 2017 – 2018 school year. They will make suggestions to the Board of School Commissioners for the next school year.
Some of the things that are going to be up for debate:
- The new high school model
- Career centered programs
- School occupancy and enrollment issues
Superintendent of Indianapolis Public Schools, Dr. Lewis D. Ferebee, has already started preparing people for potential school closings in order to better utilize resources.
