Crispus Attucks is already one of the best known schools in the city of Indianapolis due to its sports history. However, Crispus Attucks has a very rich history outside of basketball that people may not know.
This is the history that Ted Green seeks to bring out in the new documentary, Attucks: The School That Opened a City.
A preview of the film via Ted Green’s website dives into the subject matter viewers will get to see.
“Built when the Ku Klux Klan ran Indiana and its capital, built to isolate and to fail, Crispus Attucks High School instead produced scholars and scientists, world-class musicians and athletes. Ultimately its success changed the face of a city. Cast includes Oscar Robertson, Janet Langhart-Cohen, Maj. Gen. Harry Brooks, Gen. Colin Powell, dozens more.”
The Thursday premier is already sold out but the Friday showing still has available seats.
