Trump has released his plan for the first 100 days in office. It includes brief overviews for many initiatives. His education plans are particularly interesting.
“4. School Choice And Education Opportunity Act. Redirects education dollars to give parents the right to send their kid to the public, private, charter, magnet, religious or home school of their choice. Ends common core, brings education supervision to local communities. It expands vocational and technical education, and make 2 and 4-year college more affordable.”
Indiana already doesn’t use Common Core, and already allows school vouchers. However, it sounds like much of America is in for a big change especially if it leads to a further proliferation of charter schools, which are already controversial.
