Since the departure of Dr. Lewis Ferebee to Washington, D.C. public schools, Indianapolis Public Schools has been contemplating who will take his place. Aleesia Johnson has filled the role on an interim basis; however, IPS is now ready to find a permanent solution and they want help.
Indianapolis Public Schools is turning to the public to help pick its next leader. Specifically, IPS wants to know just what traits and characteristics the city values for the next leader of their schools.
IPS will be holding a series of meetings and discussions to gauge the public’s needs and wants for the next superintendent. The information gathered at these meetings will be used when it is finally time to officially start the search for the next superintendent

Wednesday, Feb. 27 – 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hawthorne Community Center
Thursday, March 7 – 6 to 8 p.m. at Arsenal Tech High School
Wednesday, March 13 – 6 to 8 p.m. at George Washington Carver School 87
