Indianapolis Public Schools has canceled its regularly scheduled bus routes Friday because of a large number of bus drivers calling in sick.
IPS Families: Due to driver call offs we are unable to run our regular school bus routes in a safe and efficient manner today. Schools will remain open however, students not able to attend school will not be marked absent.

Schools remained open though the lack of buses had a noticeable impact on attendance.
Given the education climate, one might be tempted to operate under the impression that this was some kind of mass call out plan, but this does not appear to be any kind of coordinated strike at the moment.
