NOvemeber Education List

You heard of No Shave November. Here is my No list for November.

1. No forcing staff to participate in the staff pitch in. Some of us don’t eat everyone’s cooking, especially that mac and cheese 
2. No taking off the day before the Thanksgiving Break 
3. No taking off work the Monday after Thanksgiving Break
4. Since you will be at work on Monday November 28, no heating up your Thanksgiving leftovers in the staff lounge. Let them greens go! 
5. No decoration for Christmas until after the Thanksgiving Break
6. No forcing Christmas on your students. Be mindful that not all students celebrate Christmas so don’t force it, know your class, and find out the make-up students beliefs and cultures 
7. No giving homework over the break that includes those packets
8. No teaching new material if you have classes the week or Thanksgiving. If you only get out Wednesday-Friday, focus on review and not introducing new material 
9. No trying to get students suspended for extended breaks! Show some grace we are all ready to go
10. Finally, and it is most important for me… o quitting a job until at least winter break. At least get through the semester unless there is a case of mistreatment
